IE University is seeking for a Director, Provost’s Office – Strategy & Development to contribute to our cutting-edge educational initiatives within the Provost Office!

 

The Director, Provost’s Office – Strategy & Development will be responsible for the coordination of strategic partnerships and will play an important role in strategic planning initiatives coordinated by the Provost Office. The incumbent will report to the Vice Provost for Strategy and Development. He/she will manage a team who may be assigned to specific projects, and will interact with other staff members, faculty, students, and external entities. The post will be located at the IE Tower in Madrid.

 

The Office of the Provost supports the long-term strategic planning of the University, manages academic partnerships and alliances, and further develops other strategic partnerships with non-academic institutions, such as the United Nations and other international organizations. The Office also hosts the Center for the Governance of Change, the Center for Health and Well-Being, and the Division of Arts and Humanities.

Responsibilities






Your role as a Director will involve to:

  • Design, coordinate and/or support strategic analyses and initiatives
  • Build and manage partnerships and relationships, and create opportunities for collaboration
  • Build trust and collaborate with the University’s schools and departments in strategic initiatives
  • Write proposals and strategic notes, develop presentations, coordinate resource-mobilization initiatives, as well as internal and external communications
  • Supervise the implementation of programs and ensure their successful delivery
  • Coordinate and supervise key budgetary processes
  • Supervise, coordinate, and coach individuals assigned to the team
  • Carry out other related functions








Qualifications






To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree 
  • Fluency (written & oral) in both English and Spanish
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, partnership building and project coordination/management
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the educational sector is a plus
  • Experience in international organizations, mainly the United Nations, is a plus
  • Experience in strategic consultancy is a plus
  • Experience in financial planning is a plus
  • International experience is a plus
  • Enthusiasm, team spirit and strong willingness to have an impact
  • Ability to work under pressure
