Overview






This leader will have a broad scope of P&L operations and must have demonstrated success in leading a team with broad responsibilities over complex systems and procedures. This leader will exhibit skills in learning agility, strategic planning and decision quality. The most successful candidate will excel at creating, leading, motivating, coaching and developing their team with a leadership style that is firm yet caring, able to set strong but flexible standards and can provide effective situational leadership, ultimately seen as balanced despite conflicting demands. Additionally, he/she must drive operational results for the campus through the persistent evolution of self and others. The ability to successfully navigate a complex matrix organization, as well as, partner with the Home Office leadership team, is essential. The pace of the work is faster than average and requires a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges.

 

The Campus President is responsible for successfully directing and providing overall leadership and strategic direction to all campus employees, overseeing 8 direct and 100 plus indirect reports to include: Education, Student Services, Employment Services, Financial Aid, IT, Finance and  Facilities while reporting to the Regional VP of Operations.

Responsibilities






  • Direct various campus initiatives, including campus expansion plans, in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company.
  • Direct the overall leadership of staff in alignment with core values and leadership principles providing the day-to-day management of staffing, training, development and performance of campus management and staff.
  • Delivery of annual budget objectives, or improvement in same, within constraints of student enrollment, new student starts and fixed costs.
  • Effectively interface with Admissions and marketing staff to maximize new student enrollments and starts.
  • Maintain various regulatory, state licensure, and accreditation approvals.
  • Direct the implementation, evaluation, revision, monitoring and communication of campus policies and procedures.
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics. 
  • Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
  • Other duties as assigned.








Qualifications






Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, education, or related field required. Masters Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years professional management experience in a service related industry/leadership at a General Manager level or higher.
  • Experience in Operations General Manager role leading organizations of $10 million and 100 people.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.
  • Ability to provide flexible and adaptable work schedules.
  • Proven ability and experience developing budgets.
  • Participative management approach with strong staff development skills.
  • Proven ability to evaluate profit and loss financial statements.
  • Must be able to complete a comprehensive training program, which will include working in every department to learn and understand departmental functions.
  • Must possess excellent judgment, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

 

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

 

Work Environment

  • Approximately 75% of the work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment. Approximately 10% is outside where temperatures will fluctuate. 
  • Ability to work long hours and travel 15% of the time.
  • Ability to relocate is preferred.
