Description






The Academic Advisor will assist in evaluating candidates for the Graduate programs at Goizueta Business School and will provide academic advising to undergraduate students to supplement faculty advising.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interviewing candidates &/or reading applications.
  • Addresses student academic concerns and provides referrals to campus resources.
  • Develops and leads workshops and programs to enhance advising initiatives.
  • Assists with academic orientation activities.
  • Develops and manages database records and reports.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in education or discipline related to academic advising assignment.
  • Three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work on a provided schedule. 

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and data collection and analysis experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.

 

NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional visits to an Emory University location. This position requires you to reside in the State of Georgia.
