The newly established Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine (RowanSSVM) of Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the faculty rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to lead preclinical instruction in Veterinary Pharmacology.
Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in the teaching, service, and research mission of RowanSSVM. Teaching responsibilities include designing, implementing, and delivering an integrated professional curriculum centered around organ-system blocks. The role also involves active participation in graduate training programs. Candidates are expected to mentor and train DVM and graduate students, establish and sustain an extramurally funded research program. Opportunities for collaborative research exist within the school and the broader University. Scholarly activities, including basic, translational, clinical, or pedagogical research, are strongly encouraged.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree (DVM, PhD, or equivalent). Additional graduate degrees, board certification, or board eligibility are highly desirable. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the start of the appointment and be eligible to work legally throughout the term of employment. Visa sponsorship is a possibility for well-suited candidates. Salary level and appointment rank will be commensurate with education and experience.

The School of Veterinary Medicine plans to admit its first class of DVM students in 2025, pending accreditation approval. Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a teaching hospital, and a research facility. Major metropolitan areas in the northeast corridor (New York City, Washington, DC) are within an easy 2 to 3-hour drive. The Jersey beaches are only an hour drive from campus.
