Position Overview
Advising students on State, University and College degree/program requirements, course scheduling, maintaining and updating student status records, transcript evaluations, degree plan audits, and graduation applications. Serves as a subject matter expert on specialized majors determining how transfer credits apply toward degree requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelorβs Degree and two years of experience in student affairs, student services, counseling, or professional academic advising.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: * Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate). * Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area * Understanding of degree requirements in the College of Education * Ability to work independently
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional flexible schedule to work weekends or evenings as needed.
